Family Law: Children


This seminar focused on taking into consideration the psychological and practical needs of children as well as emerging issues in family law relating to children.


The objectives of this seminar were to enhance the participants’ substantive knowledge of and practical skills regarding the best interests of children, issues relating to custody and access, and developments in the law and practical management of family issues.


Senior judges, academics and family lawyers led this program, which included sessions on transgender issues in family law, children and immigration, mobility, domestic violence and allegations of violence in custody cases, voice of the child, AI in family law, family law apps, shared parenting, substance abuse and parenting, managing child protection cases, issues in custody and access and innovation in the family law courtroom.
